Kimberly Morton | Clinical Director

Kimberly has nearly 15 years of clinical experience working with seniors in home and community-based settings and long-term care. She pursued nursing as a second career after 14 years of owning and operating a restaurant and catering business in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Kimberly received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at Western Carolina University in 2012 and has continued her educational journey at the University of Chapel Hill North Carolina to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing. Prior to joining Aegis Homecare, Kimberly served as the Administrator of Assisted Living at St. Joseph of the Pines, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in Southern Pines, North Carolina. During her tenure at St. Joseph of the Pines, Kimberly held several leadership positions including Nurse Supervisor of homecare, Resident Care Coordinator, Director of Nursing, and Director of Assisted Living.

In her spare time, Kimberly enjoys UNC Tarheels basketball, cooking, gardening, nature, and spending time with her family.

Angela Sanderson | Finance Assistant

Angela emigrated to the USA from England with her physician husband in 1992, becoming a naturalized citizen in 2006. She started her career in retail management, then took a graduate degree in accountancy from Oxford Brookes University.  She trained as an accountant in the UK with Price Waterhouse Coopers. Once in the USA she became a homemaker and Mom to three boys who are now in their twenties and moving on. Angela comes to Aegis with her accounting skills intact and very happy to be assisting the finance department.

Dr. Sarah Conte, RN | Nurse Supervisor

Dr. Conte began her nursing practice in 1996 in the specialty areas of cardiothoracic and surgical intensive care. It was the uniqueness of Women’s Health that offered the opportunity to combine the challenge of medical management, surgical intervention and the art/science of nursing practice that led to this specialty to become a passion. Her standard of excellence as a clinician was developed and refined while practicing at Duke Health, University of North Carolina Health Care, and WakeMed Health & Hospitals. Most recently, Dr. Conte served as North Carolina’s Maternal Health Nurse Consultant, Maternal Mortality Review Coordinator and Lead Abstractor in the Division of Public Health. She earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Loyola University/Chicago, a Master of Science in Nursing from Gardner-Webb University, a Diploma in Nursing from Watts School of Nursing, and a Bachelor of Science from East Carolina University.

Cathy Feole, RN | Nurse Supervisor

Helping families through transitioning and challenging times is very important to Cathy. With the client as a focus, she feels it is important to work with the entire family and their unique situation to bring about wellness and the best possible quality of life. Cathy received her BSN from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and spent the first ten years of her career as an intensive care nurse.

Stephanie Mosteller, RN | Nurse Supervisor

Stephanie is excited to be joining the wonderful team here at Aegis.  She obtained her BSN from Bowling Green State University and Medical College of Ohio in 1996.  Stephanie then went on to work in Cardiology and Cardiac Intensive Care at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus Ohio.  She has also worked in the areas of Labor and Delivery and Perinatal Medicine at both The Ohio State University Medical Center and Akron General Medical center in Akron Ohio.  Stephanie moved to Chapel Hill with her husband Greg and three children in 2006 where she took a break from Nursing to raise her children.  Stephanie is very excited to be back doing work she loves again.

Nancy has 30 years of clinical nursing experience in hospitals, home health care, clinics, and home care. At the age of 20, she got her first job in healthcare as a nurse's assistant in a 40 bed Alzheimer's unit, and that experience was the beginning of her lifelong passion for taking care of and advocating for the elderly.

Sue Shivar, RN | Nurse Supervisor

Sue enjoys listening to clients/patients and their families talk about what’s important to them, what brings them joy, and what’s difficult or not going so well.  With experience in hospitals, clinics, community nursing, and home care she strives to provide comprehensive and holistic care. A graduate of UNC Chapel Hill School of Nursing, she is a Certified Case Manager, a Certified Advance Care Planning Facilitator and has a Certificate in Guided Care Nursing. She is also a CPR/First Aid Instructor for the American Heart Association and a Licensed Massage Therapist, (NCLMBT #15978) A native of North Carolina, Sue has four great sons, fabulous daughters-in-law, and four fun grandchildren. She thinks mountain vacations are delightful and is trying to be better about walking every day.

Christine Shooter RN, FNP | Nurse Supervisor

Christine began her nursing career at UNC Health in Chapel Hill after graduating from DePauw University in Indiana with a BSN. She later returned to school to obtain her Masters in Science from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in the Family Nurse Practitioner program and concentrated in Primary Care. She also enjoyed working for several years as a Public Health Nurse Practitioner in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools. She later returned to UNC Health in Chapel Hill and worked in neurology. She also loves being a camp nurse for the Triangle YMCA and has been with them for 20 years.

She loves nursing and has been a nurse/nurse practitioner for 40 years and has lived in Chapel Hill most of her life. She loves anything nature related, especially hiking, sports, traveling, live music and theatre. She volunteers regularly for various food insecurity programs. She has one grown son.

Cindy Zwiacher, RN | Nurse Supervisor

Cindy began her career as an elementary teacher. After having three children, she returned to school to obtain a nursing degree. She has been a registered nurse for over 25 years. She joined the Aegis team the beginning of 2019 and has enjoyed being a part of this very caring team. Cindy has experience in oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant at UNC Medical Center where she enjoyed supporting patients and families through serious illnesses. She then worked for many years as a public health nurse with Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools. Cindy enjoys meeting new people and helping provide support as needed.

Rachel Zwiacher, RN | Nurse Supervisor

Rachel has always enjoyed the privilege of working with the elderly population. Amongst her favorite memories are working as a nurse assistant at local Charles House Association and working as a community educator for the Phoenix chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. Rachel obtained her Gerontological Certification in 2018. She currently works full-time as a cardiac nurse at Duke Regional Hospital.

Monica Esperanza | Office Manager

Monica began her career as a manager in the hospitality field where she went to school and obtain her bachelor’s degree in business management and accounting. She later decided to go back to school and get her master’s degree in that same field. After six years, she decided that she wanted to explore the healthcare field and obtain her CNA. She joined the Aegis team as a CNA in 2020. Monica enjoys meeting new people and helping provide support when needed.

Jordyne was born and raised here in North Carolina. Jordyne has two sweet children (Trenton & Ariel), who keep her on her toes and energetic! She has a background in Childcare, IT, and the Service Industry.
Jordyne has worked as a caregiver since 2022 with Aegis and quickly became an On Call Supervisor for Aegis helping our caregivers and clients after hours. Later she decided that she wanted to continue her career growth with Aegis by taking on Assistance Office Manager. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing soccer, and nature

Nicole Blue - On Call Supervisor

Nicole has been in the healthcare field for 21 years. She is an outstanding and highly creative leader with a rich background in caregiving. She has worked as a cna/med tech, memory care unit team lead and currently serves as a House Manager for Aegis Family Care Home. She holds multiple jobs but in her free time she spends it with her 3 daughters. (Jamie, Jade, and Koryn) Always a smiling face when you see her.

Martha Ebert - On Call Supervisor

Martha was born and raised here in North Carolina. Although she loves travel and adventure, having been to over twenty five countries, she will always call this great state home!

Her drive to help others and make a difference started when she was a student at UNC Chapel Hill, deciding her junior year to join the U. S. Coast Guard. Her positions with Fedex and DHL furthered her passion to help others, problem solve and connect with people.

Martha has three sweet little boys (Griffin, Harrison and Louis), who keep her feeling young and energetic! She was heavily involved with the Grand Friends program at their preschool, connecting the church’s elderly and preschool aged children together. It was something truly special seeing the connections and bonds that were made in sharing a weekly meal, stories, crafts and countless laughs with each other!

She absolutely loves being an On Call Supervisor for Aegis, providing after hours coverage in communicating with and helping caregivers and clients in both the Chapel Hill office and the Southern Pines office.
In her spare time, Martha enjoys carpentry and running races, which include three marathons, eight half marathons and countless other smaller road races.
